CCH Foundation Ladies in Bloom Event Inspires Pride

 The Clarke County Hospital (CCH) Foundation Ladies in Bloom Brunch and Community Conversation proved to be an inspirational event that demonstrated the power of citizens coming together to discuss the good things going on in the area.

The CCH Foundation hosted the event on Saturday, April 27, to generate conversations about the assets of the region and spread positivity.

 “Clarke County has many positive attributes,” said CCH CEO Brian Evans. “It was wonderful to see everyone come together to share their excitement and support for our community,” he said.

In addition to remarks from Evans and Osceola Mayor Thomas Kedley, several “community champions” were acknowledged during the event: Mellony Klemesrud, American State Bank; Helen Saylor-Kimes, Saylor Realty; Mary Ellen Kimball, Community Leader; Elisabeth Reynoldson, Reynoldson and Van Werden, LLP; Teresa Woods, Great Western Bank; and Becca Kedley, Community Leader. About 50 people attended.

“It was so refreshing to share ideas with such a terrific group and learn about all the great things our community has to offer,” said Helen Saylor-Kimes of Saylor Realty.

Local organizations that co-sponsored Ladies in Bloom include Iowa State University Master Gardeners, Osceola Public Library, Clarke County Development Corporation and Osceola Chamber Main Street.

Each attendee received a special Wish Dish sculpture from Isabel Bloom.
