Clarke County Hospital's Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC)
The Patient and Family Advisory Council is designed to help enhance patient experience and care delivery at Clarke County Hospital by focusing on healthcare through the eyes of those receiving care at Clarke County Hospital.
Members of the Patient and Family Advisory Council work in partnership with Clarke County Hospital staff to enhance patient care, while advocating to improve the satisfaction and overall outcomes of patients. By participating in our advisory council, you will meet new friends, listen to the voice of others and make a positive impact on the care of Clarke County Hospital's patients. Getting involved will create a unique opportunity for council members to make a difference in the hope and healing of others.

The Clarke County Hospital Patient & Family Advisory Council ensures that voices of patients and families are represented in a team effort to enhance their entire care experience.
OUR VISION
The Clarke County Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) strives to ensure Clarke County Hospital will deliver high quality patient and family centered care through collaboration and teamwork. By partnering with patients and families, Clarke County Hospital PFAC will enhance processes, procedures and care delivery.
OUR PURPOSE
A formal process including patient and family perspectives. The goal is to promote and enhance patient centered care, while advocating to improve satisfaction and overall outcomes.
What does being a part of the PFAC Mean?
The PFAC will be compromised of patients and family members, along with Clarke County Hospital staff. Together, all individuals will work in partnership to ensure that the voice of patients and their families are represented in a team effort to enhance care experience.
The PFAC is looking for patients and family members willing to volunteer and commit to:
- Meeting monthly for 1 hour
- Attending any PFAC orientation programs.
- Meeting with other patients and families about their experiences.
- Provide honest feedback and share your own experiences.
- Respect the perspective and privacy of others.
- Work on program development projects and other projects outside the monthly meetings, as needed.
- Work to enhance the patient and family experience.
- Help transform community wellness.
Requirements
We invite you to be a part of our Patient and Family Advisory Council.
In order to fulfill the Advisory Council's primary objectives, member show serve on the PFAC must be:
- 21 years of age or older
- A former or current patient of Clarke County Hospital, or a patient's family members or friend
- Able to make at least a one-year commitment to the council
- Able to work in partnership with others
Participants interested in joining Clarke County Hospital's PFAC will be required to fill out a formal application.
