Infusion Services
Infusion Services provides patients with a safe and comfortable outpatient setting to receive infusion therapy. Ambulatory services allow you to receive these services without hospitalization or restrictions on your activity or home IV therapy. In Infusion Services, our patients are not only given the opportunity to see a wide variety of specialists, they can also come here and receive outpatient treatments ordered by physicians that are not located at our hospital.
Your primary care physician or specialist can order your therapy to provide the care you need. Infusion Services provides a wide variety of nursing care with pharmacy support for IV medications including: antibiotics, chemotherapy, blood administration, hydration and other specialized therapies. Infusion therapies are prepared and delivered by a specialized pharmacist and administered to patients by specially trained infusion nurses who are also chemotherapy trained; therefore, meeting established quality and safety standards of care.
The infusion area design allows for natural light to fill the infusion stations while patients receive treatment. In addition, the department also offers space for family and friends to remain with the patient while they receive treatment.
Services include:
- Administration of IV antibiotics and other medications
- Chemotherapy
- Immunoglobulin administration
- Blood transfusions
- IV fluid administration for hydration therapy
- Blood draws from vascular access devices
- Port access/flushes
- SQ and IV injections
In addition, we also provide preventative and maintenance medications for:
- Osteoporosis
- Low testosterone
- Elevated PSA
- Renal insufficiencies
- Asthma
- Crohn's Disease
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
